1.   Click The Start Menu Button.

2.   Click Run…

3.   In the text type in MSCONFIG, hit Enter.

4.   Press the Start Up Tab.

5.   Uncheck All unless there are some programs you like that run  

       automatically on start up. I suggest just leave them all unchecked.

6.   Restart.

It is that easy. This tip will make a huge impact on how fast your computer will start.

 If there’s a problem with a URL, these easy to follow steps will help you find it.  Here’s How:

If you’re using the http: portion of the URL, did you include the forward slashes after the colon?

Did you remember the www? Some websites require this to load properly.

 Did you remember the .com, .net, or other top level domain?

Did you type the actual page name if necessary?

 For example, most web pages have specific names that end in .htm or .html, among others.

 Are you using back slashes \\ instead of the correct forward slashes // after the http: portion of the URL?

 Check the www. Did you forget a w or add an extra by mistake – wwww?

 Did you type the correct file extension for the page?

 For example, there’s a world of difference in .html and .htm.

 If the website is a common one that you’re familiar with then double check the spelling. For example, www.googgle.com is very close to www.google.com, but it won’t get you to the popular search engine.

 If you copied the URL from outside the broswer and pasted it in the address bar, check to see that the entire URL was copied properly.

 For example, often times the URL in an email message will span two or more lines but only the first line will be pasted in the browser.

There are two standards for this format: 3GPP, with the file extension .3gp, and 3GPP2, with the file extension .3g2. 3GPP and 3GPP2 stand for 3rd Generation Partnership Project and 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 respectively. These were separate collaboration agreements between several countries standardizing mobile phone formats. 3GPP files are for GSM based phones, 3GPP2 files are for CDMA based phones.

Sometimes your Internet browser may be the cause of the problems. To fix your problem, you may need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Please follow the instructions below.

Internet Explorer 6.0

1.       Click “Tools,” then “Internet Options.”

2.       On the General tab, in the “Temporary Internet Files” section, click the “Delete Files” button.

3.       Select “Delete Cookies.”

4.       Click “Close.”

5.       “Quit” the browser.

Internet Explorer 7.0

1.       Click “Tools,” then “Delete Browsing History.”

2.       In the “Temporary Internet Files” section, click on “Delete Files” and select “Yes.”

3.       In the “Cookies” section, click on “Delete Cookies” and select “Yes.”

4.       Click “Close.”

5.       “Quit” the browser.

Internet Explorer 8.0

1.       On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click “Internet Options.”

2.       The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.

3.       On the General tab, in the Browsing History section, click the “Delete…” button.

4.       In the “Delete Browsing History” window that comes up, make sure that “Temporary Internet Files” and “Cookies” are selected.

5.       Click the “Delete” button and restart the browser.

Safari 3.0 and 4.0

1.       Open Safari.

2.       Select “Empty Cache.”

3.       Click “Empty” on the “Are you sure?” message.

4.       Select “Preferences,” then the Security tab, “Show Cookies,” “Remove All.”

Firefox 3.0 for PCs and Macs

1.       Click “Tools” and select “Clear Private Data.”

2.       Make sure that “Cache” and “Cookies” are selected.

3.       Click on “Clear Private Data Now.”

4.       Exit and relaunch browser.

Firefox 3.5 for PCs and Macs

1.       Click “Tools” and select “Clear Recent History.”

2.       Make sure that “Cache” and “Cookies” are selected.

3.       Click on “Clear Now.”

4.       Exit and relaunch browser.
